Karem Saund, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Warrenton Dermatology & Skin Therapy Center, specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is proud to provide care to patients throughout Warrenton, Virginia.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science from George Mason University (Fairfax, Virginia), with a double major in Biology and Psychology, Karem earned her Master of Physician Assistant degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.
Karem gained multiple years of clinical dermatology experience as a Medical Assistant in a busy dermatology practice in Washington, DC, before earning additional clinical experience while undergoing rigorous dermatology and plastic surgery rotations during Physician Assistant school. She has also trained extensively in specialized medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology under Dr. Caballero.
With her unique, multidisciplinary background, Karem makes the Warrenton Dermatology clinical team even stronger, and she enjoys providing cosmetic injections in addition to medical dermatology care. Karem is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and Diversity in Dermatology.
Outside of the practice, Karem enjoys playing badminton and soccer (wearing SPF, of course). She is fluent in Punjabi, and a fun fact about Karem is that she won 1st Runner-Up for Miss India-DC.
