Our Most Popular Treatments for Men

It’s easy to think of cosmetic enhancement treatments in terms of female patients. But the fact is, in recent years, more and more men have sought out cosmetic treatments, too.

Though the overall benefits of cosmetic enhancement may be the same regardless of gender, the way the treatments are performed can be significantly different. Men’s facial anatomy is certainly different, and their skin tends to be thicker and denser than women’s skin, as well.

As a result, aging can affect a man’s appearance in different ways — and that means his treatments need to vary, as well.

At Warrenton Dermatology & Skin Therapy Center, Juan-Carlos (J.C.) Caballero, MD, and his team help men achieve their unique aesthetic goals with treatments and procedures tailored for their needs. Here are the most popular options we offer.

Botox® for lines and wrinkles

Botox is the most popular cosmetic treatment in the United States, with millions of treatments every year.

Botox is a neuromuscular agent, blocking nerve signals that cause dynamic wrinkles around your eyes, forehead, and mouth. Injections take just a few minutes, the effects last for months, and they can be repeated to keep lines and wrinkles at bay

Dermal fillers

Fillers work to restore lost volume and to reduce or eliminate static lines and wrinkles formed by sun damage, genetics, and even gravity. They’re often used in combination with Botox to treat multiple types of wrinkles no matter where they appear.

Dr. Caballero and his team use the Juvéderm® line of fillers, based on natural hyaluronic acid.

Chemical peels

Chemical peels use special chemical solutions to soften and slough off the top layers of skin, where lines, wrinkles, scars, and other types of damage occur.

Our master estheticians offer different strengths of peels, depending on each patient’s needs. Peels can also help eliminate texture and tone differences due to sun damage and other causes.

Hydrafacial

Hydrafacial treatments use a three-step process to replenish and rejuvenate skin so it looks smoother, fresher, and younger. Our hydrafacials use Vortex® technology to rejuvenate and replenish skin without harsh chemicals.

The three-step process exfoliates dead, dull skin, then deeply cleanses it using patented extraction techniques. Finally, your skin is nourished with an anti-aging serum composed of antioxidants, peptides, and skin-smoothing hyaluronic acid.

Fraxel® DUAL laser system

The Fraxel® DUAL laser system can work wonders in reducing the appearance of wrinkles, discoloration, and uneven texture. Our expertly trained skincare specialists use the Fraxel® DUAL laser system with fractional technology to treat superficial and deeper layers of skin while still promoting rapid healing.

Laser hair reduction

Most men (and plenty of women) have unwanted hair on one or more areas of their bodies. Laser hair reduction uses focused light technology to heat up hair shafts, damaging individual follicles so hair growth is thinner or stopped completely.

Botox for sweating

Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) in your underarm area, your palms, or your torso can be embarrassing, especially when perspiration soaks through your clothing. Botox treats hyperhidrosis by blocking nerve signals that trigger sweating in specific parts of your body.

Like Botox for wrinkles and lines, Botox for hyperhidrosis can be repeated to keep you cool and confident.

While some men have specific aesthetic concerns and goals in mind, many men have goals that are more general. At our practice, every treatment plan starts with a complimentary consultation to discuss treatment options, refine goals, and map out the ideal anti-aging strategy.
