The Alma Harmony uses proprietary Advanced Florescence Technology (AFT) to create the new “Gold Standard” for Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments to remove pigmented lesions (brown spots), vascular lesions (rosacea/broken capillaries) and blemished skin. AFT converts wasted UV light to the optimal treatment spectrum, and delivers uniform energy with controlled peak power throughout the entire pulse of light. Using filters that concentrate the light, our special hand-piece provides optimum results without exposing the skin to wavelengths of light which may lead to unwanted side-effects. Simultaneous contact cooling also keeps the skin from overheating during treatment, for a more comfortable experience both during and after treatment. These superior features combine to provide enhanced treatment power for safer and more effective treatments, with minimal side effects.
Treatments are of short duration and cause little discomfort. Most people will experience some temporary redness and swelling, similar to a sunburn. This does not interfere with normal activities. Pigmented lesions will darken slightly after treatment, and then fade away after 10-14 days. Vascular lesions generally undergo immediate graying or blanching, and fade in 10-14 days.
